Elon Volunteers! (EV!) provides all members of the Elon University campus the opportunity to develop an ethic of service by connecting campus and community through service experiences. Habitat Alamance is fortunate to have a strong partnership with this local university.

Habitat for Humanity History with Elon
In 1989, former President Jimmy Carter visited the Elon campus. During his visit, he promoted Habitat for Humanity. The chapter expanded and became Elon Volunteers! (EV!). It was one of the earliest campus chapters in the nation. Elon’s is the first campus chapter committed to raising funds and helping to build Habitat houses each year – right here in Alamance County.

- Volunteer: We have weekly shifts for people to serve by doing construction work at build sites and helping in the ReStore.
To sign up to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, visit the Phoenix Serve page to see current opportunities.
- Fundraising: In addition to serving as volunteers, Greek Life Chapters for Change also works to raise funds in support of Habitat Alamance.
