If you already have a DAF:
If you already have an established, Donor Advised Funds account, this is an easy way to support Habitat Alamance using your Donor Advised Funds. Simply log into your DAF account to make a grant recommendation for Habitat for Humanity of Alamance County, NC with federal tax number EIN: 56-1597641.
If you are unfamiliar with or still exploring DAFs:
A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a charitable giving program that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support your favorite causes. They can easily be set up through a community foundation or your financial institution.
Why a DAF could be right for you:
- DAFs allows you to donate cash, stock and other assets as charitable gifts over several years.
- DAFs provide a flexible and easy method of giving if you support multiple charities.
- DAFs can be used to complement or replace a private foundation.
As with all gift planning, you should consult your financial adviser and lawyer to help you get started with recommending a grant.

If you would like to donate property that you think a Habitat house could be built on, contact our Executive Director, Patricia Morales, at 336-222-8191, ext 2 or email her at pmorales@habitatalamance.org. We do have some restrictions to property we can accept, but we are certainly willing to consider your offer.
In-Kind donations can also be made in the form of non-construction services offered by local donors. Lawyers, accountants, graphic designers, interior designers and financial counselors are just a few of those who have contributed their time and resources to help further our mission.

Car donations are another way to support the mission of Habitat Alamance. When you make a donation to Cars for Homes, the proceeds come back to Alamance County to help us build homes right here for families in need.
The car donation process is quick and easy. You can learn more about Cars for Homes on their website or call toll-free to 1.877.277.4344 for more information. If you donate an automobile or other vehicles, you may be eligible for a tax deduction.
When you donate new or gently used items to Habitat ReStore, you’re making affordable homeownership a reality, and you’re also keeping perfectly usable items from needlessly going to waste in a landfill.
