Due to the overwhelming interest in our homeowner program in Alamance county and our current building capacity, the application process is closed at this time. We are diligently working with the current applications submitted from 2022-2023 to get them processed and those applicants through our program. We are hopeful to resume taking applications in the near future. If you have any questions about the homeowner program, call our office at 336-222-8191 ext. 2.
The Habitat program is not easy nor is it quick. You must commit strongly to improving your living situation and be willing to work hard to achieve your dream of home ownership. How quickly you move through the program depends on how quickly you earn your hours AND on the construction progress of those houses ahead of yours. For most people, it takes about a year to earn their first hundred hours. Construction progress varies, but it could be an additional year to around 2 years after your application is approved before you move into your new house.
After reviewing the Qualifications information below, if you are interested in applying for home ownership through Habitat for Humanity of Alamance County, you can contact our office at 336-222-8191 ext. 2.
