What is a ReStore?
Answer: The ReStore is good stuff at good prices for a good cause!
ReStore Alamance is more than a place to find amazing deals on new and gently used furniture, appliances, home décor and building materials. When you shop or donate at the ReStore you are helping Habitat build a community where everyone has a decent place to live. You are also keeping useable items out of the landfill!
Proceeds from ReStore sales have helped build over 190 homes in Alamance County, and help keep new and gently used furniture, appliances, home décor, and home improvement & building materials in the homes of Alamance County residents and out of the landfill – at a fraction of the retail price.
Whether you are furnishing your home or doing home repairs, you are making a difference in our community through your purchases, generous donations of items, and volunteering. Together we are building a community where everyone has a decent place to live.
We have almost everything to build a house – and furnish it too!

Volunteers are crucial to the success of Habitat and there are unique opportunities to serve at the ReStore. From helping unload trucks, to organizing inventory, to setting up floor displays, you can put your individual talents to work. We have had handy people test and even repair small appliances before we sell them, and we have had people with decorating talents help us create attractive displays and even offer DIY makeover classes!
Want to serve with your friends? Bring your volunteer group out to the ReStore! Volunteer groups typically help unload donated household items, organize and clean donations, place items on the sales floor, maintain the cleanliness & organization of the store, and assist customers with carry-outs after purchase. Group sizes range from 3-5 volunteers.
Interested? Fill out our Volunteer Interest Form or call our Volunteer Coordinator to schedule a date to serve as an individual or group: 336-222-8191. EXT 103.
